Jamie's Hair Emporium
Jamie Leigh is a hairstylist located in the Arlington / DFW area. She is the owner of Jamie's Hair emporium and she specializes in sew-ins and faux dreads, but she can do just about any hairstyle. What inspired her to start doing hair was her pickiness when others would do hers.
Jamie states, "I went through an awkward phase my junior year of high school, while growing my hair back out after rocking the Rihanna inspired Mohawk. The problem was I wasn't used to wearing weave nor did I want it to be noticeable to others that I had it in my hair. I have no problem with wearing weave but it doesn't need to be noticeable to others, because I know how I like my hair, I would like others to experience the seamless, natural look of a sew-in as well."
Jamie Leigh attends UTA (the same school I attend). I've never personally gotten my hair done from her BUT one of my close friends has. Regina (@miss_ginnaaa) has gotten a sew-in by Jamie, she had 3 bundles and a closure from Boojee Hair Dallas, no leave out. Looking at the sew-in I was really impressed because it looked very natural. Now, I've never worn weave besides like micro braids (don't judge me you've all followed the trend at least once *cough cough box braids*) back in high school but I don't really think that counts. However, I think if I were to get a sew-in I would get my hair done by her. I've stalked her instagram (I tend to do that to a lot of people) and I've seen pictures of her versatile sew-in and it looked really nice. I can't tell you how it held up after days, weeks, months, etc. but from what I've seen on Regina, Jamie's regular sew-ins last a long time so I could imagine the same for her versatile sew-ins. If you're in the Arlington/DFW area please check her out, book her, all that good stuff. And if I ever do eventually get a sew-in by her I will be sure to update you on the quality of her sew-ins.
