Berencia Fore is the CEO and owner of MakeupByBerencia. Although make up has always been her passion, even since she was a little girl, she did not start the brand, however, until the end of her senior year of highschool. Growing up Berencia was not allowed to wear makeup until she was 16, which is normal for a lot of teenage girls. Berencia states, "So when I got the chance I just went ham (lol)."

She started out buying makeup palettes from companies like Coastal Scents and then gradually made her way up to filling her kit with products from higher end companies, such as: NARS, Anastasia Beverly Hills, and MAC. Berencia was based out of Huntsville, Alabama (her hometown) in 2012/early 2013 and eventually, in the fall of 2013 she moved to Washington, DC to attend Howard University. Berencia says she is inspired by Pat McGrath; she states, "I love her innovative makeup looks for fashion shows for brands like Givenchy, Dior, and Chanel. I really appreciate avante garde makeup more than this glam phase that's been popular lately, because it requires you to think outside of the box and be creative."

If you're looking for a make up artist in the DC area whether it's for a photoshoot or to get your make up done for a night out, Berencia is your girl. I've seen her work on Aaleeyah Petty (yes, I stalked her instagram). As you may know AaleeyahPetty (@aaleeyahpetty on her social networks) is very popular on social media and her selfies are always flawless so if Aaleeyah lets Berencia do her make up then she has to be good. And she IS phenomenal, her beats always look flawless. You know how people say if you see a hair stylist and their hair isn't on point then you probably shouldn't be getting your hair done by them....Same concept for make up. Berencia's selfies are always "on fleek" and her make up looks perfect everytime not to "caked on" but still glam nonetheless.
